Self Catering Pembrokeshire Coastal Cottage Overlooking The Sea. Sleeps 6. No Pets
Home

The Stables at Ffynnonofi Farm is a Coastal Cottage situated aprox 4 miles north of Fishguard in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. It is one of the few coastal cottages to be located in it's own coastal farmland.

The Cottage has panoramic sea views across the fields from Fishguard Bay to Dinas Head and is the only holiday cottage on the farm.

The farm was a location for the 1956 Hollywood Movie Moby Dick. John Huston directed the whale scenes from the fields whilst Gregory Peck had welsh cakes in the farmhouse!

All the land surrounding this Pembrokeshire coastal cottage is our farmland and visitors are free to walk through the fields to the beach and coastal path. Unfortunately, we don’t allow dogs because of the sheep.

There is a long farm track providing seclusion and privacy and there are no roads or highways to worry about. It is the perfect place for families as it very safe for children. The Stables is also a great Pembrokeshire coastal cottage for walkers as the coastal path is only a short walk across the fields. It is perfectly placed for the famous Dinas Island walk.

Dinas village is only a 15 minute walk away for local pubs, mini market and fish & chip shop. The Old Sailors pub and restaurant is only a 15 minute walk down the coastal path at Pwllgwaelod Beach. This is a great place to stop off for refreshments after the Dinas Island walk.

There are lots of coves and beaches in walking distance. The lovely beach Cwm-Yr-Eglwys is 20 minutes walk down the back lane and Pwllgwaelod and Aberbach beaches are only 15 minutes walk down the coastal path.

The farm is also a great starting point for those wanting to explore the North Pembrokeshire National Park. There are some wonderful walks in the Preseli Hills, Gwaun valley and St Davids is only 15miles south.

The famous 4000 BC burial chamber at Pentre Ifan is only a 15 minute drive away and some of the earliest Celtic writing can be seen at the Ogan stones in Nevern, just 10 minutes by car.

Ffynnonofi is also only 3 miles from the pretty village of Newport where there are shops, restaurants, pubs, antique shops and a wonderful estuary walk from the Parrog.

The picturesque harbour of Lower Fishguard is just 4 miles south and a great place to have an early evening drink. The Irish Ferry and trains to South Wales, Bristol and London leave Goodwick harbour approx twice a day.
