Farm holiday cottage

The Stables is a Holiday Cottage in Pembrokeshire set in 80 acres of it's own coastal farmland. We don't farm the land ourselves but we lease it out to a sheep farmer.

All the farmland is used for sheep grazing throughout the year. Our neighbours rear ponies which you can see on the walk to Aberbach beach.

The name Ffynnonofi means Ofi's Spring in Welsh and legend has it that Pilgrims would stop off at the farm on their way to St Davids. The spring dates back to the 11th century.

The Stables farm cottage is set apart from the main farm buildings and has lots of it's own space for children to play. The farm is accessed by a long track making it safe from traffic and providing privacy and peaceful seclusion. The Stables is the only holiday cottage on the farm and visitors are encouraged to roam wherever they wish.

The Stables cottage living room looks over the fields and over the sea. Open the doors and it is just a short walk to the coastal path and it's own beach.

For most of the year the Stables is surrounded by sheep and in March onwards there will be lambs staring through your windows.

The farmer is happy for visitors to walk across the fields providing they leave gates how they found them and respect the sheep.

The Stables cottage is ideal for nature lovers as foxes, badgers, rabbits and hares regularly appear in the field in front of the cottage. There are swallows in the barn and a buzzard has been nesting in one of our ash trees for the last couple of years.

There is a local riding stables (Havard Stables) just a mile outside the village where you can ride up the Preseli hills.
