It is a suberb location for keen mountain bikers as north Pembrokeshire has some of the best trails and bridleways in West Wales.

The farm is situated right on the coast and the Preseli hiIls are right on your doorstep. Some of the trails pass ancient Cromlechs and the famous Blue Stones used for Stonehenge. There are forest trails down in the Gwaun Valley as well as trails across Preseli top. There are trails for all standards of riders. We can supply a mountain bike guide and there is a bike hire shop in Newport.

The Stables is a cosy and warm cottage to come back to after a long hard ride. There are wood burning stoves and a great view over the Irish Sea from the living room. (see cottage interior) Johny, who lives in the Coach House and oversees the farm is a bike enthusiast and great mechanic should you need some assistance.

The Stables holiday cottage at Ffynnonofi farm is the perfect location for mountain biking and kayaking and only 25 minutes drive to the surfing beaches at Whitesands Bay and Newgale. The holiday cottage is secluded, accessed by it's own farm track and is set in 80 acres of it's own coastal farmland.

Ffynnonofi coastline

The coastline surrounding the farm is magnificant. There are tiny coves, secluded beaches and a sandy estuary at Parrog in Newport.

The coastline is relatively safe and you can nearly always find a sheltered launching location. When the prevailing breezes blow you can kayak around the leeward side of Dinas Head, launching from the pretty beach at Cwm -Yr- Eglwys.

The farm has it's own beach, Cwm Gwyllog, just a few minutes walk across the fields. You can launch your kayaks from Pwllgwaelod and paddle round to our beach, using it as a base for your stay.

There are kayaking courses and hire facilities just 25 mins drive down the coast to St Davids.

Surfing
The best surfing beaches in Pembrokeshire are in the South and South West of the National Park. However, if you want to mix your activities up a bit then North Pembrokeshire has the variety that the south can't offer.

There are two great surf beaches in driving distance. Whitesands Bay is a beautiful wide stretch of sand aprox 14 miles south. And Newgale is another magificant strecth of stone and sand, aprox 20 miles south
